Mission and Philosophy

Mission Statement

 

To prepare High School Students to take the Math portion of the ACT Exam and to acquire and sharpen the skills required to reach their greatest potential score.

 

 

Philosophy of the Course

 

 

Success on the ACT is a combination of content knowledge and test taking strategies.

 

The large majority (78%) of the ACT is based on material taught in earlier course work and rarely revisited later in advanced curriculum. Much of the material on the ACT is relatively easy, yet the student has not had recent experience with these concepts. This is why review of these concepts is critical to a successful ACT experience.

 

The ACT score is based on the number of correct answers. The test is multiple choice in format. There are many methods available to assist the student in obtaining the correct answer. These testing strategies will be discussed in depth and practiced on a daily basis with feedback and performance analysis
